The Liturgy Decoder

Two Texts  ·  One Hymn  ·  Surface and Doctrine

The Plague Priest's Liturgy was not written for the congregation. It was written through them — using their belief as a medium. The surface text is the prayer they learned to sing. Beneath each line is the Plague Priest's actual theological instruction, encoded in vibrational structure. Click any line to decode it.

The Liturgy Has Been Decoded
You have read both texts simultaneously. The surface prayer and the doctrine beneath it. The Plague Priest embedded these instructions knowing that anyone who decoded them would have, in the process of decoding, performed a version of the rite. The act of understanding the Liturgy is itself a form of exposure. The Pale Archivum notes: every analyst who completed a full decode reported hearing the Chorus in their sleep that night. All of them reported the same key.
